1961 Game 155: Washington Senators (57-97) @ Minnesota Twins (69-84)

Sunday September 24, 1961

Senators 4, Twins 1

Jim Donovan held the Twins to just one hit, a seventh inning solo home run by Joe Altobelli (3). Aside from a pair of walks, that is all the offense the home team could muster.

Washington’s two runs in the fourth inning would have been enough. They came on four consecutive one-out singles off of Jim Kaat. The Senators added a run in the sixth and another in the eighth to make the final 4-1.
