Harmon Killebrew’s two-run single capped off a three-run fifth inning for the Twins, who bunched three more runs over the course of the next two innings on the way to an eventual 6-3 win over the Senators in Washington. Zoilo Versalles knocked in two runs with his sixth inning single, and Killebrew led off the seventh with a triple, scoring on a Joe Altobelli double to add the Twins’ sixth run.

Jack Kralick pitched 5 1/3 innings to earn his 13th win of the season. Don Lee came on in the sixth and finished the game for the Twins.
