1961 Game 137: Chicago White Sox (75-65) @ Minnesota Twins (59-77)

Tuesday September 5, 1961

Twins 3, White Sox 3

Fog was the star of the game between the Twins and the White Sox. The game had to be delayed for 30 minutes in the sixth inning, and reports suggested that when Al Smith hit the game-tying home run in the top of the ninth inning nobody could see the ball in the outfield because of the dense fog. The game was ultimately called after nine innings, a 3-3 tie.
