For the second consecutive game, a Twins pitcher shut out the Chicago White Sox. This time it was Jim Kaat who allowed just five hits, all of which were singles.

The Twins’ first run came on an RBI double by Billy Martin in the third inning. Harmon Killebrew knocked in two more with a double of his own in the fifth.
