Seven of the nine Twins’ runs against Kansas City came via the home run. The team hit three total. Bob Allison hit a two-run shot (25) in the first inning to tie the game after Jack Kralick gave up two first-inning runs in the top half of the first. The score remained tied at two until the bottom of the fourth inning, when Billy Martin’s three-run shot (4) capped off a five-run inning for the Twins. Harmon Killebrew then added a two-run home run of his own (35) in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Kralick pitched well enough after the first inning, allowing just two more runs as he completed the game for his 11th win of the season. The Twins have now won three games in a row.
