Isn’t It June?

Game 71: Brewers 5 (31-40), Twins 3 (40-31)

Isn’t this usually the time of year that the Twins go on a big winning streak? Instead they are turning in lackluster performances against the likes of the Brewers. Yuck. Ron Gardenhire agrees (via Joe C.):

“Disappointing night for us,” manager Ron Gardenhire said. “We had some opportunities, didn’t get [baserunners] in, but I think we gave them some, a failure to turn some double plays in some key situations and some shaky baserunning.”

WPA Stars of the Game

The Brewers look for the sweep on Thursday afternoon. Seriously. They haven’t swept anybody in 2010.
