Jack Kralick held the powerful Tigers to just a pair of runs in eight innings, and things looked good for the home team.

Then came the ninth inning. The Tigers showed their power with three consecutive home runs. Norm Cash, Steve Boros, and Dick Brown all hit solo home runs, the first two off of Ray Moore, the last off of Paul Giel.

The Twins have no dropped four games in a row.
