Dick and Bert told me on Saturday night that it was the 23rd time that the Twins had consecutive shutouts. Of course I had to look it up.
1. 1961: August 23 & 24
2. 1962: August 26 & 28
3. 1963: June 4 & 5
4. 1963: July 24 (Games 1 & 2)
5. 1965: May 30 & 31
6. 1965: July 5 & 6
7. 1968: June 24 & 27*
8. 1971: April 11 & 12
9. 1971: September 13 & 15
10. 1972: September 6 & 7
11. 1973: May 29 & 30
12. 1973: June 28 & 29
13. 1975: August 9 & 10
14. 1976: September 23 & 25
15. 1981: September 7 & 8
16. 1983: September 28 & 29
17. 1984: September 15 & 16
18. 1988: June 26 (Games 1 & 2)
19. 1992: June 21 & 22
20. 2003: May 8 & 9
21. 2004: July 5, 6, & 7
22. 2004: September 2 & 3
23. 2008: April 11 & 12
*Both games in 1968 were shortened
There seems to be an awful lot of game against Kansas City on this list, including the three consecutive shutouts back in 2004. Additionally, the list is heavily weighted towards late August and September.

Very nice list, Scot. What method did you use to find these occurances.

There should be a ? at the end of that last sentence. Oops.

I used baseball-reference.com’s game logs, checked over twice to make sure I didn’t miss anything (a very sophisticated method, to be sure).
If I had a subscription to the play index I could have been much more efficient, but am still too cheap.
